"Melting into Spring" Monotype 34"x36"


Anyone that's followed my work knows this is one of my favorite areas to paint. I have done numerous paintings of it. The first time I painted it was with my daughter. She must of been about 11 or 12. We sat together and painted until she got board and then I watched as she ran through the meadow catching frog and splashing in the water. It's one of my very favorite memories I have with her. I really think that is why this place is so special to me.

Thanks Elizabeth. And yes, I am so lucky to live in such a beautiful place. It's interesting that you mentioned the "Blue". I don't usually use that bright blue but the night before I actually dreamed that I was painting THAT painting with THAT blue. So I Had to do it.
